Instructor Biographies

Gianna

Beginner 1 Instructor

Gianna is originally from Milan, in the Lombardy region, and holds a degree from an Italian university. Before moving to the United States, she worked in the Milan trade show industry, particularly in events related to fashion, tourism, and food.

After relocating to the U.S., she spent a short time in the banking sector and then worked for several years in accounting and finance. Eventually, she decided to pursue her greatest passion: teaching Italian. Gianna has now been teaching for nearly 20 years and truly enjoys watching her students grow in confidence, gain proficiency, and develop a genuine love for the Italian language.

Dario

Beginner 4 Instructor

Dario is originally from the Campania region and holds a degree in Communications from the University of Salerno. After a few years working at a web communication agency as a web marketing consultant, he moved to San Francisco, driven by his passion for American music and the allure of the "California dream."

In San Francisco, he quickly found a welcoming Italian community, which led to a successful career in the hospitality industry. After nearly 20 years in this field, Dario chose to dedicate his time and energy to his true passion: teaching.

He has been teaching Italian for the past few years, offering students engaging and enjoyable lessons filled with motivation, laughter, and an authentic taste of Italian culture and traditions.
